A Fun Adventure

John, Paisley, & I decided to go on an adventure today. Lisa told me about a place about 40 minutes from Lethbridge with water, sand, and lots of space to run. We can't go in the summer because dogs aren't allowed as people can swim there.  Wendy went with Coulee & Lacey and poor Lacey was almost attacked by a coyote! Fortunately, we didn't see any animals, just lots of birds. And one boat.

Paisley had the best time ever. She had never been on sand before. When we let her off the leash she sprinted around for about 5 minutes. She ran and ran and ran. She loved getting the ball from the water. She didn't swim exactly as she is still nervous when she can't touch the bottom, but she was closer to swimming today than ever before. We need a dog who will swim so she can follow it out to deeper water. I think that's all it will take.

After the trip to the beach, we went to Waterton. We got some lunch at Wieners of Waterton, wandered through the townsite a bit, visited the Falls, then headed out to see if there were any elk about. We didn't see any, but we could hear them calling. On our way out of the park we saw quite a big bear. I couldn't get a picture of him, but it was great to see.

All in all, a great day's adventure!
