Final Photography Project

For our last class, we had to create a slideshow of pictures on a theme. I chose cycling, not surprisingly! It was fun to put together. Through these 2 classes I've learned that I am not interested in portraits at all. In fact I hate it when people get in my pictures! Just another manifestation of being antisocial, I suspect. I seem to be drawn to things - construction, industrial stuff, angles, etc. I like taking pictures of things that aren't necessarily obvious at first. Pictures that make you wonder what you're looking at, that kind of thing. I like taking pictures of dogs, but I'm not good at it! You'd have to see Wendy for that http://pawsontherunphotography.blogspot.com/

We had to put the slideshow to music. I chose a fun song. The song is Bike by Mal Webb,  www.malwebb.com/

Thanksgiving

John & I hosted Thanksgiving this year. Everyone attending also brought a dish. Talk about yummy! Everything was fantastic. The only problems were a dining room too small for all those people, and no matching tablecloths. Despite that, it was a great night, and we thank everyone for making Thanksgiving so memorable. We really do have amazing friends. It's nice to have "a Lethbridge family" when we are all so far from our homes.

I just noticed in one of the pictures that the clock shows 5:30. That's pretty good. We were hoping to eat at 5pm for those with kids. Given that we had everyone coming with different dishes, I think eating within a half hour of our goal isn't bad. We had so much food that we used the whole top of the breakfast bar, and the counter under the microwave! Fortunately we got through a lot of it. Jennifer & Fundy came for lunch today to help us get through the leftovers.

I hope everyone else had a wonderful Thanksgiving too. We should be thankful for everything we have more than just once a year though. It's easy to forget how good we really have it.

Alphabet Challenge

For this week's photography class, the challenge was to find things that resembled the letters of the alphabet. Here are my attempts. Some I like, others are fairly unimaginative. Let me know what you think!

Fundy's Photo Shoot

We were looking after Jennifer's dog Fundy on Sunday afternoon. I decided to take some pictures of her, since she's such a pretty dog.

More Foggy Pictures

I took my camera with me on my way to work last week. Again, because of the foggy morning I was able to take some neat pictures.

Light

Our assignment for the photography class was to try taking pictures in different light. Fortunately I chose a morning with some log fog, providing some beautiful shots.  Here are some of my efforts.
