The Russells Visit

Cathy, Steve, Rachel & Natalie are on a tour of western Canada, and they stopped in Lethbridge for a week. We did some fun stuff, including Frank Slide. I didn't take any pictures at the Slide since I took so many last year, but I like the windmills so I took some of those. We also stopped at Lundbreck Falls, which I quite like. I took a bunch of pictures there.

Last Day with the Pood

When we realised on the Thursday that Molly wasn't going to make it, we decided to take some pictures of her, and take her to the coulees for one last sniff. She didn't make it far, but hopefully she enjoyed it. She always loved sniffing and poking around out there. It was hard at the time to accept that she would be gone the next day. Actually, it's still hard to accept that she's gone. We love the Pood so much.

Adoption Fair June 2010

There were some new activities at the Adoption Fair in June. Miniature horses, face painting, vendors, and more. Plus all the dogs, of course. There were several adoptions, which is great news. We didn't make as much money as we'd hoped, but at least a lot of dogs found homes.

Puppies!

Although we had decided not to do any long term fostering because Molly was too stressed by having other dogs in the house, I thought a couple of nights would be OK. PDCR had another Adoption Fair in June. We brought in a few new dogs just for day. One was a female who had just had puppies. I brought 2 pups home with me, just for a couple of nights. They were only 7 weeks old, and too young to be adopted. As they were so young we had to keep them apart from Molly, so she only saw them from a distance. But because we didn't want to foster long term, they went to a nice foster home who will hold onto them until they are old enough to find permanent homes.

They were such nice puppies. The little female is Lexi, and the male is Trey. They had such great personalities. They were funny, and loved to curl up together to sleep. I liked to hold them, as they were very cuddly. They also liked to play. Not surprisingly, the Lexi was more aggressive than Trey, and regularly beat him up! I think they will be very good dogs, because they were such good pups. Look how cute!
