Homework, sort of

Here are some pictures I took for my camera class this week. I didn't exactly follow the rules though. Once I got out there I just took pictures of whatever I liked! Oh well, some of them turned out well. I'll try to actually follow the instructions for next week.

Camera Class

John gave me a digital SLR for Christmas, so I am taking a class on how to use the manual features. So far I've had 2 classes. I'm learning a lot, but still don't have it all down yet. We do have homework we have to do. These pictures aren't the homework, they are just practice shots. Poor Molly is getting tired of being my model!

7lb Cake!

In the new Living Without magazine there is a recipe for GF chocolate truffle cheesecake. It looked great, so I had to try it. Fortunately, Hester had a birthday party today, so I had a reason to make it. The funny thing about it - it weighs 7.25 pounds! It was so heavy we had to put it on the scale to see just how much it weighed. People seemed to like it. Although it is very, VERY chocolatey, it wasn't as rich as I anticipated. I would say it was a success.
